Proptech company Placer.ai, which specialises in location and footfall analytics, has announced new appointments to strengthen its technology development. According to the company, Jigso co-founders Or Shani and Tomer Naveh are joining Placer.ai to drive forward its internal artificial intelligence initiatives.

Shani and Naveh each have 16 years of experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Prior to founding Jigso, they built Albert.ai, regarded as one of the pioneers of autonomous AI solutions for the advertising sector, which was floated on the stock market and later acquired. Their Tel Aviv-based follow-up company Jigso operates as a proactive AI operating system that monitors IT infrastructure, analyses risks and generates real-time recommendations for action.

Strategic expansion of data and methodological expertise

Alongside the two founders, several Jigso employees are also joining Placer.ai. Jigso itself will continue to operate as an independent company. Noam Ben-Zvi, CEO and co-founder of Placer.ai, emphasised that solving real client problems requires expertise across multiple disciplines. Shani and Naveh bring a rare synthesis of applied AI, big data, data science and marketing solutions. He noted that this mindset of consistently working back from the client's operational goals was decisive for the appointments.

Based in Los Altos, California, Placer.ai reports that more than 5,000 organisations use its platform, including prominent Fortune 500 corporations. The platform processes proprietary location data to deliver informed insights into footfall, visitor flows and behaviour in physical spaces.

Focus on proactive market and location analytics

With these additions to its team, Placer.ai aims to step up its transformation towards a proactive analytics platform. The objective is not only to supply clients with historical data, but also to identify patterns continuously and suggest actionable steps.

  • —Real-time identification of anomalies and trends in visitor behaviour
  • —Automated delivery of action-oriented market and location recommendations
  • —Acceleration of sound decision-making processes through structured raw data analytics

High-performance AI systems are strictly reliant on high-quality and unique data, explained Or Shani. Placer.ai possesses such a differentiated database. The combination of proprietary datasets, an extensive client base and clear investment in AI technologies was decisive in joining the team at Placer.ai.
