New location in Berlin's Wrangelkiez

Berlin-based hospitality brand STAYERY is continuing its expansion in the federal capital. At Wrangelstraße 34 in the Kreuzberg district, the company has secured around 6,620 square metres of rental space in an existing building. A new accommodation establishment with a total of 105 apartments designed for both short- and long-term stays is scheduled to open at this location in early 2028.

With this project, the brand is expanding its Berlin portfolio of existing and planned properties to six locations. The existing building will be completely converted for future accommodation use. The micro-location in the Wrangelkiez neighbourhood is characterised by an established environment of dining, culture and retail, complemented by proximity to commercial hubs in eastern Berlin and good links to local and long-distance public transport.

Apartment structure and service concept

The planned 105 residential units are divided into four categories ranging in size from 17 to more than 30 square metres. Each unit will feature its own kitchenette as well as integrated living and working areas. The concept is aimed at business travellers as well as city tourists with an intended length of stay between one night and up to six months.

The operation combines digital interfaces such as self-check-in with dedicated on-site contacts. Alongside the individual apartments, the spatial layout includes communal areas with lounge and co-working spaces, a guest launderette and a self-service kiosk. Hannibal DuMont Schütte, founder and managing director of STAYERY, explained that Berlin does not function through a single centre, but through its neighbourhoods. For the expansion, he noted that the objective was to be present in the places where people live, work and spend their time, with Kreuzberg previously representing a gap in the portfolio.

The owner of the existing property is a German family office. The landlord was advised in the transaction process by CAP Real Estate Consulting GmbH. Savills Immobilien Beratungs-GmbH brokered the search for the tenant.
